This figure is inspired by a print, Le Bostangi Bachi, from the Comte de Ferriol's folio of engravings Recueil de cent estampes representant differents Nations du Levant. de Ferriol was the french ambassador to the Sublime Porte (Constantinople) 1700-1710, and draw the figures he saw there which were then engraved. |
